About

Colin is a Physiotherapist Independent Prescriber, qualifying as a physiotherapist in 1985, he has worked in MSK for over 25 years specialising in acupuncture initially and latterly embracing prescribing within MSK Physiotherapy. His interest in all things research was partly behind his membership of the Medway LREC 2 years of which were as Chairman. In 2009 he gained his MA in Applied Professional Research and until 2021 worked clinically with a local AQP provider and as a First Contact Physio as well as volunteering as a vaccinator during the recent pandemic. Colin is part of the postgraduate team teaching on the prescribing programme, collaboratively leading on the CCAD programme and leading on a MOOC style programme for Allied Health Professionals introducing them to medicines management. Colin is currently researching the impact of non-medical prescribing on the role identity of physiotherapists and is in the final stages of his PhD project.
