About
Jo qualified as a doctor from King’s College London in 2004 and began her career working at Medway Hospital and hospitals in East Kent. She started lecturing in 2011 when she took on a role at the European School of Osteopathy teaching undergraduate clinical pathology. Jo joined the University of Kent in 2020 working with the access and widening participation team and teaching on the Access to HE programme. Jo was recruited by the Medway School of Pharmacy in 2022 to design and deliver the Clinical Skills aspects of the new MPharm course. She has helped to create a bespoke clinical teaching area with simulated learning spaces and modern facilities to prepare students for the clinical aspects of their future career. Jo has also taken on the role of Interprofessional Education Lead and has embedded a number of interprofessional educational activities into the programme, working with other healthcare courses at Kent and Medway Medical School and Canterbury Christchurch University.
