About

Laura has been practising as a clinical pharmacist for over 24 years after qualifying for her degree in 1994 at the University of Brighton. She initially joined Boots the Chemist as a community pharmacist then branched out into hospital pharmacy 2 years later. She then worked for a year in a private health care hospital then spent nearly 2 decades at Medway Maritime Hospital, specialising mainly in surgery, anticoagulation and then became Lead Antimicrobial Pharmacist for over 10 years.

Laura has also worked at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane Australia for just under a year combining an opportunity to travel and to gain more experience in surgical care. In 2016 she joined Medway School of Pharmacy to become an Associate Lecturer in the postgraduate department teaching mainly on the Clinical Diploma but also on the Physician Associate Programme and the undergraduate programme. In addition to her time at Medway School of Pharmacy, she also works as a clinical pharmacist at Maidstone Hospital for 2 days a week, this opportunity enables Laura to bring current clinical practice to her teaching at Medway School of Pharmacy.
